World No Tobacco Day (WNTD): is celebrated around the globe every year on 31 May. Yearly celebration in schools, colleges and other public areas informs on the dangers of using tobacco, the business tactics of tobacco companies, what the World Health Organisation (WHO) is doing to fight against the tobacco users and companies. World No Tobacco Day Creation, Importance & Significance

World Health Organisation (WHO) member states created World No Tobacco Day in 1987 to get world attention to the tobacco topic and to prevent disease & death in causes. According to the world reports more than 8 million deaths happens each year due to tobacco. The day is celebrated by different health organisation to show the government real effect of tobacco industry.

From past years WNTD themes are becoming effective as they clearly say “truth”. Theme titles such as “Tobacco kills, don’s be duped” (2000) and “Tobacco: deadly in any form or disguise” (2006).
